Job Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-years’ experience with building new opportunities in a B2B market
  • Must have knowledge of banking systems and have sold to community financial institutions
  • Must have some knowledgeable of the competitive threats and opportunities
  • Minimum of three years’ experience selling banking software, preferably core software
  • Experience with managing the completing sales cycle from lead generation to close
  • Experience with managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales opportunities
  • Must work well independently and be self-motivated
  • Valid driver’s license and able to drive an automobile
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail


  • Drive the sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closing.
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking.
  • Attend industry events to develop leads and prospects.
  • Manage presentations to senior managers and decision makers.
  • Draft and deliver proposals that align with the clients and IBT Apps needs.
  • Work with technical staff and product specialist to address customer requirements when required.
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria.
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
  • Develop and maintain a plan which will outline how your sales targets will be met to keep pace with your goals. 
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects.
  • Keep notes on prospect interactions in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Provide forecast on sales volumes over relevant time-periods.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third party and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers.
  • Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to executive management on ways to decrease sales cycle and enhance sales.
  • Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing to develop and improve sales tools.
