IBT Apps is looking for a Business Development Specialist to sell core processing software to financial institutions. If you are looking for a fast-paced environment where rewards commensurate with your experience and contributions, we would like to hear from you!

Previous core software sales experience is desired and the qualities and characteristics of a good sales representative are required.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Generate sales leads via cold calling, email, partnership contacts and other means to community financial institutions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects.
  • Maintain sales database using Salesforce, including logging all prospect notes, calls, meetings, partner activities, new leads, etc.
  • Analyzes data, item and network requirements of prospective client and draws up prospectus of plan designed specifically for the client.
  • Quotes prices for services outlined in a prospectus revises or expands prospectus to meet client’s needs.
  • Periodically confers with clients and establishment personnel to verify satisfaction with service or to resolve complaints.
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors.
  • May attend trade shows to  further develop leads and prospects.
  • Assists in the conversion process and continued service to the client where necessary.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills/Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of banking operations and have sold to community financial institutions in the past.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the competitive threats and opportunities facing the community banker, especially, those from the super-regional banks, national banks, and credit unions.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience selling banking software, preferably core software.
  • Experience with managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to close
  • Experience with managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales opportunities
  • Must be a team player. Collaboration will be required, both internally and externally.
  • Must work well independently and be self-motivated
  • Valid driver’s license and able to drive an automobile
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail
